Dell will sell Ubuntu Linux on “some” systems

This should be very interesting to watch ;-) I always cringe when I see “some” or “select” models b/c for some reason that usually means the cheapest one… hopefully not the case here. It seems Dell has reasonable expectations for this initial offering and there are hints they see it as a Linux-enthusiast type of offering (and there are quite a few of us these days).

“We heard loud and clear from customers that they wanted this,” Cook said. And of those who wanted Linux, “80 percent came back and said Ubuntu,” Cook said.
