Crazy? 16 core MIPS Linux server … for “general server market”


Not sure where this will go, but it’s an interesting tale of innovations Linux allows – without open source, this would be impossible (unless of course they wrote their own OS).

Is this Cobalt 4.0 (1.0 was MIPS, 2.0 was x86, 3.0 was Sun buying/killing it, and 4.0 maybe Movidis)?
