Tis the season for Linux desktops?

Appears IDC does not see much value with Vista and only changed their PC market outlook by 0.1 pts on the delay news… this quote could signal just how big the window (no pun intended) of opportunity could be for Linux on the desktop…

“People who need a PC during the fourth quarter will likely buy it without regard for Vista,. I don’t think the majority of consumers are waiting for Vista; there’s nothing must-have about it.” — IDC analyst Richard Shim
