		<description>Interesting - I had not heard of hashcash but have seen similar challenges. I asctually don&#039;t have a problem with the spam - Akismet works great. I was just noticing a flood of spam attempts over the last week.</description>

		<description>Might want to try out WP hashcash.  Uses javascript challenges that browsers handle but bots don&#039;t.  I ran it for a few weeks marking spam but still queueing it for akismet.  Then after I was satisfied it wasn&#039;t producing false positives I let i just delete spam ignoring the akismet queue.
